Tarshield WB is a water-based, high performance, weather-resistant coal tar coating that offers excellent flexibility for gravel surfaced coal tar or asphalt built-up roofs on up to a 6” slope. Tarshield WB is a cold-applied coating that eliminates the need for open flames and kettles. This very low odor coal tar can be spray applied, for quicker, easier application, reducing labor and installation costs

Basic Use:

Use Tarshield WB as to resurface existing coal tar or asphalt roof membrane assemblies or as a high performance surface bitumen on new coal tar or asphalt built-up roof assemblies.

Applicable Standards:

Classified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc® as to an external fire exposure only and is approved by factory mutual per FM Standard 4470.

Product Composition:

Tarshield WB is a water-based blend of coal tar, proprietary polymer modifiers, and non-asbestos fibers. The unique structure of this solvent free coal tar provides a product suitable for application to membranes with slopes of 6” or less.
